This year, Frederik Thiele had the opportunity to present new results on the topic of cryogenic quantum optics at the CLEO conference. This conference focuses on current topics in the fields of lasers and electro-optics. At the event in Long Beach, California, the presentation “Cryogenic Feedforward of a Photonic Quantum State” was delivered, which sparked lively discussions and exchanges.
The long journey was also combined with a visit to a collaborating research group at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). During a talk and lab tour, current developments in superconducting detectors were discussed.
