CHE University Ranking 2024: Physics in Paderborn in the top range almost everywhere

In the winter semester 2023/2024, students on the Bachelor's degree course in Physics were surveyed across Germany as part of the well-known CHE ranking by the Center for Higher Education Development. In the results published at the end of April, Physics in Paderborn received very good ratings - in 11 out of 15 categories it is among the top students. In particular, the organization of studies and graduation within a reasonable time stand out, but the support is also consistently rated as excellent.

"We are very pleased that our measures to support students during their studies are having an impact," says student advisor Dr. Sascha Hohmann. "The intensive contact between lecturers and students and our additional measures such as the physics get-together are appreciated by our students - which naturally makes us very happy. The fact that over 90% of students complete their Bachelor's degree in or just over the standard period of study also shows that Paderborn is a good place to study."

Of course, the ranking is also a motivation to achieve a top position in the next ranking in the four categories in which physics in Paderborn "only" landed in the middle of the field. The range of courses is being expanded and modernized with the new accreditation of the Bachelor's degree course.

You can find the entire ranking here (only available in German).
