The Integrated Quantum Optics group sent a large contingent to this year’s <link http: mainz17.dpg-tagungen.de>DPG spring meeting of the Atomic, Molecular, Plasma Physics and Quantum Optics Section (SAMOP) in Mainz. Eight PhD students, five Master students, one postdoc, and one junior professor attended.
The group’s presentations covered topics including waveguide photon sources, quantum frequency conversion, spatial light modulation, multiplexed photon pair sources, quantum walks, probing of higher-order photon states, and integrated superconducting photon detectors. The group also had many discussions with relevant companies at the exhibition.
Between presenting and attending talks and posters, there was still a little time to see the city: Der Hohe Dom zu Mainz, the Gutenberg bibles, and some fresh Portuguese fish were all experienced.
