In the last days of November the complete equipment from the labs in building P5 was moved into the seventh floor of the P1-building. This lab move was necessary because the labs in P5 will be completely refurbished and equipped with air-condition. During this refurbishment period – which may last approximately one year – the group got new rooms in P1 to ensure that experiments can be continued without a significant interruption.
In particular the transport of the optical benches was difficult. Because the size of the elevators in the building was too small, the benches had to be lifted with a truck-based crane through a window. <link http: physik.uni-paderborn.de>Click here to see more photographs.
