The research focus deals with the physical foundations and applications of light-matter interaction. Within the framework of this focus, CeOPP bundles the competences of the departments of physics, chemistry and electrical engineering.
PhoQS brings together the expertise of over 30 scientists, including four ERC grant holders, from four disciplines. Research at PhoQS is currently funded in more than 15 national and international projects.
Our goal is the research, development and realisation of future nonlinear photonic systems. We use state-of-the-art technological capabilities to explore new physical concepts and devices based on targeted strong nonlinearities and quantum effects.
The Humboldt Foundation sponsors researchers regardless of their discipline or nationality. It strengthens Germany as a research location through international research exchange.
