Paderborn is a city with a long history, showcased in its historic city center. It offers museums, theaters, sporting events, and a lake for sailing, swimming, and wakeboarding during the summer months. It is well-connected to various cities in the Ruhrgebiet (approximately 1 hour 20 minutes to Dortmund) and also hosts a small airport. Its proximity to the Teutoburg Forest and the Sauerland region makes it ideal for hiking and other outdoor activities.
