(a-c) Single NPs on a SiO2/Au substrate (s-NPoMs). (d-f) Dimer NPs on a M13 phage/Au substrate (d-NPoMs). SEM image scale bar is 200 nm. The electric field profiles reveal the importance of dimer NPs assembly over single NP on a Au substrate at similar spacer layer thickness conditions (t = 10 nm).
