Simulating Quantum Dynamics with Light

Our paper "A 2D quantum walk simulation of two-particle dynamics" was published in the magazine SCIENCE. By sending short light pulses through a fiber network we were able to show how quantum particles evolve on a two-dimensional lattice. Based on this principle we simulated the dynamics of two quantum particles interacting with each other in various ways during their quantum walk.
